Susan Sutton is a North Carolina Licensed Professional
Counselor, National Certified Counselor and a North Carolina Licensed School Counselor.
She currently contracts part time at St. Raphael and St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Schools.
She has been the school counselor there for the past ten years and implemented
many successful programs including a how to be successful student in middle
school titled “The Lost Curriculum that was featured in the Apex Herald years
ago. Susan is currently writing a book about the class.
On top of being an educator, Susan enjoys presenting and
speaking all over the country on topics including cyberbullying, school discipline
and skills that help students be successful in school. Last year she was
published in Principal Leadership Magazine on an article of how schools can
handle cyberbullying and is an expert consultant for The Parent Institute
Publishing Company on the same topic.
A parent of a high school and a middle school student
herself, Susan understands the life and perspective of adolescents and the
difficult family and school issues that arise at this age. She is committed to
helping adolescents and families get though the stresses of life by improving
communications between all members of the family by helping all parties
understand each other.
